So Much to talk about...brace yourselves!

Well I have been talking about it for a while now, and now here are some pictures to prove it's true!!! We sold our house and moved out! Here is a picture of Makinlee in her diaper "helping" us get packed up! It was a long process and I am super sad that we left our first home, but we are excited to see where life takes us next. I am going to miss so many people that we loved so much in our first home, since we lived there since 8 months after we were married. I hope that we can stay in touch with everyone and thank them for all being such great friends. Our family went through a lot while living in this house, good and bad, but one huge thing was having the twins. I will never forget all the loving people that helped us get through this really trying time in our families life, showing up with dinners, helping out with Logan, and just the many thoughts and prayers! We love you all and will miss you guys!

The guys came to me after moving our living room couch and asked if I had a squirrel. I was confused until I came downstairs and saw this...Logan's peanut stash. That is one of the many things I am sure she did while behind the couch all the time...silly girl!
Logan was such a trooper through all this moving crap. She didn't have many of her toys and always had to entertain herself so I could pack when the little girls were sleeping. I guess got entertaining herself got old and she wanted to make cookies. Because I didn't want to dig out all the ingredients that we had all packed up, I thought she would like to just do these gingerbread guys that we just had to add and egg and water to a package and stick in the oven!
My Mom gave me this pan with a bunch of little gingerbread man shapes on it and then Logan got to frost them with her purple frosting and lots of sprinkles! She had fun and Kennedy had fun watching her too!

Now onto the really exciting night we had! Kurt and I and my sister Hailey and her husband Clay got tickets to go to Rascal Flatts for Valentine's Day (I guess it was more of an excuse to go but it got the boys out of buying something for us, right).
I left the girls all home with Grandma Laurie and Aunt Rachel and then met up with Clay and Hailey to meet Kurt in Salt Lake for dinner. Eyes on the road Clay!
We decided to eat at Z Tejas at the gateway...yummy! Here is me and my hottie hubby waiting to be seated.

And that is that...these last pictures are just from today when we were officially turning over our first home to someone else. We just had a few things left, things to take to the dump, and some cleaning and then...gone forever...
Here is our empty house...sad! I must admit there is nothing better than cleaning an empty house...so fun to vacuum an open room and there is nothing better than cleaning an empty countertop, I know I am weird but it was actually fun! Bye bye house...we will miss you but never forget all the memories that we made as a couple and family there!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be posting some of the fun things we have been up to including moving out, Rascal Flatts concert, and a bunch of other stuff soon! Because we finally got out of our house (kinda officially) I don't have my cord to download my pictures onto the computer...soon so get ready!

So close and... my attempts

I had to take a picture of the maneuvers that Karsyn does while attempting to grab stuff out of her reach...and her attempting to move around (aka crawl). She gets stuff really far in front of her, but looks like this and many other odd positions in the mean time.
She is much more flexible than me, that is for sure.
OK, this is funny...this is my attempt to get a picture of Karsyn's new tooth. You can't really see it but I promise it is there. She does the funniest faces lately trying to massage her gums, I wish I could get a picture of those but this is all I could get.

11 Months (each accomplishing new things)!!!

Well I never thought I would be posting about my 11 month old baby that won't eat!!! This is that newest attempt to get her to eat...feed herself. As you can see on her face, it didn't really work but she did get about 5 bites down.
This picture is funny because he eyes are closed but it just happened to be when the picture took, she really was feeding herself pretty good.
After she got the spoon in her mouth, she would just sit and suck on it. She maybe got a few extra calories right!!!
The good news is that...she sits! Kennedy over that last few days has really gotten so good at sitting all by herself. I still like to be there close to her because she still falls sometimes and gets tired and lays back. But she is doing GREAT!
Now as for Karsyn, she is finally getting her first tooth. She has been threatening it for a while now but it just hasn't broke through. I don't have a picture for this but, it finally came in. I feel so bad for them when they get teeth. Her one tooth on the bottom came in, and the one right next to it is very close, and actually has a blood blister looking thing on it...sad. She has been a pretty good sport but we have been keeping her doped up Tylenol and lots of sleep (not so bad for me!). Anyway, both girls have come so far and continue to amaze me every day. We just aren't sure we are ready for the next phase...mobility! Our lives may change drastically when that day comes.

I also hope to get some pictures for this too but, Logan just got back from visiting her cousins (my sister Lacey) in Las Vegas with my Mom and sisters. She had so much fun and it was really good for me too to be able to get some packing done...thanks so much Mom, Gen and Cassidy! We are still on for closing on our house next Thursday and have started looking at some homes to possibly get into...depending on how the job situation goes! Wish us luck...with the packing I mean...we have so much crap!

Just stuff!

Logan playing on her laptop (not really hers, but our old one that she calls "hers")! I am amazed at how good a 3 year old can be at the computer.
Here are a few pictures of both the girls sitting up playing with the loudest toy known to man...but they love it. I can't say that Kennedy is officially sitting yet because she falls over pretty easy but, I think in no time she will be good to go! Not bad for a 9 pounder!

My mom, Hailey, Makinlee, Logan and I got together to make Valentine people thingies. Logan did this last year down at my sister Lacey's house with her cousin Elliott and she still has it and wanted to make another one this year.
You get the final product first since I did the pictures out of order...I always forget that! Anyway here they are, very proud!

OK, so we dug out the highchair finally. I hate them because they just take up so much room but I thought I would show everyone what the girls do in them. This is what Karysn does...totally normal right, she EATS.
And this everyone is what Kennedy does...plays. No eating for her, she absolutly hates baby food of all kind. The doctor says that she is fine without it nutritionally and not to force her but it is so weird. I have tried her as long as I have Karsyn and she liked it for a minute and now if you even go near her with a spoon, she freaks out...literally. So the doctor said to lay off for a while and try again later. He also said that a lot of babies that were ventilated are traumatized when it comes to things touching the back of their throats and she probably will be since she had some traumatic experiences with that. He said that sometimes they have to go to a dysphagia specialist to teach them to eat and that it isn't something bad. Man I wish I had that problem...I love food! She can't be a girl and not like food right? Well that will probably be the next obstacle in her life but hey, bring it on! Until then we will just let her take her little time and just keep feeding her bottles of yucky formula!

Freedom SWEET Freedom!!!!......

Freedom from Kennedy's helmet I mean! Kennedy is officially done with her helmet and we are all so dang excited about it...especially Kennedy. Over the last few weeks Kennedy's head seemed to have done some serious growing, or Kennedy was just deciding that she hated the thing, because every time we would put it on her she would throw a major fit, which she really hadn't done in a while. We took her in to the helmet doc and he said that she looked great and we could go a month or two longer to help with the flatness in the back but he couldn't guarantee that we would see a huge improvement...maybe maybe not. So after talking to him, he said to go see her regular doctor and have him decided if she is done. So today we had to get the girls RSV shots anyway so we asked Dr Eberhard what he thought. He said that it looked good and her ears were pretty even and nothing looked distorted or anything and she could be done. YEA!!!

You can see kinda in this picture the part that was the worst, the sides. They said that she was bradycephalic (?) meaning that the sides were growing out instead of back and it made it look like she had points on the sides instead of being round. As you can see it was also flat in the back.
Well her is the AFTER pictures...You can see it is still a little flat in the back (well you can't see very well I know) but it looks lots better, just take my word for it.
I also tried to get a picture of the sides to show how rounded out they are and how good those look! Kennedy has been such a trooper through everything she endured in her first year of life and I hope that some day she will thank us for putting her through this helmet thing! Thanks to everyone for keeping our spirits up through it all, knowing that it was also very hard on us as parents. Also thanks to my Mom and Dad and Kurt's parents for helping out with the money part too...we couldn't have done it without you guys!

Now we also had the girls weighed and stuff today and...drum roll please........Kennedy is...8lbs 15 oz, great right! Well I wish I would have left her in a fuller diaper so we could say she was 9 lbs, but oh well she did great this month! Hopefully she will continue to eat well and she will be able to keep gaining. And as for our little (big) Karsyn... she is 13lbs even!!! Wow she has come a long way and is doing so well. I am amazed at how much that girl can eat so hopefully she will also continue to grow big and strong! We love you girls.

Last, Logan...what do you say about that sweet girl. She is such that...a girl. She is such a doll and we just love her so much. She is so into being "big" right now and decided that she was going to give sleeping in panties a try because her "big" cousin Elliott did. She has been doing this for about a week now and has only stayed completely dry 1 night out of them all. The other nights she wakes up in the middle of the night screaming because she has wet. Now I am very very sick of washing her sheets and stuff but I really want her to learn, but how do you teach that to someone??? If anyone has any ideas let me know because she wants so badly to do it. I think she is just such a heavy sleeper she doesn't wake up, so heavy that when she does wake up and call for us, in the morning she doesn't remember that it even happened and she insists to us that she stayed dry...funny girl. Anyway, I am not to the point where I want to give up but, if anyone has any idea on how to do it let us know!
