Getting into the Christmas mood!

Well December is finally here and the time is going fast but we are trying to have some fun with the girls before Christmas. Logan did such a good job helping me with our family Christmas tree but she really wanted one of her own. The girls went to sleep over at Grandma and Grandpa Lindsay's house one night and we went and bought the girls a tree they could decorate however they wanted! haha!
As you can see already, the girls have an eye for decorating haha!

Logan and her crafts! She got a few little things to keep her busy while the girls nap, she got this Rudolph and then a Santa and Penguin that are made of the same stuff!

I don't know why I do these every year, other than you kinda have to! I think they are really hard and the candy isn't very good. Next year I am going to do it myself, maybe...haha!

I put on the frosting and the girls decorated it! They did a really good job!
Once the last piece of candy was on, they wanted to break it and eat it so...whatever! They each ate a few pieces of candy and decided they were over that too! Like I said, not the best candy in those premade ones!
We went to one of the near by nurserys cuz they had Santa there with some face painting and a hay ride! It was nothing big but the girls had fun and it got us out of the house! Here is Kennedy on the hayride.
And Karsyn and Logan (with her snowman face painting) on the hayride! We had cookies and hot chocolate and headed home! I must say though, Kennedy and Karsyn both sat on Santa's lap and actually talked to him. I need to get online and look at their picture with him! That was the first time Kennedy has not totally freaked out when Santa was near her! Maybe by Christmas she will sit on the Santa's lap at the mall!

Thanksgiving

I suppose it was my turn to host Thanksgiving this year since Lacey has the last few years but I was still a little nervous! I was mostly scared about doing the turkey since I never had even thought about doing one. Lucky for me, my mom an sisters prepped me! Lacey even ended up being over at my house the night before to help, and capture, my first "turkey prep"!
As you can see, it was disgusting! haha!

Here we are serving up the goods! Buffet style Thanksgivings are the best, right!
My sister and her kids were in town, without Lance :( so with them and Hailey and Clay and the kids, my parents, Cassidy, my Grandma and Aunt and Uncle Zan and Susan with their 3 kiddos, and Kurt's parents and Rachel we had 14 adults and 10 kids!!! Wow!
The triplets! haha! I don't think they cared about the food at all, all they wanted was the slush in the fun kids goblets that Grandma Swim Swim brought!

Not a very good picture but here we are all eating, except the kids who already ran off and me taking the picture! We have so much to be thankful for and I love having a special day for us all, me especially, to remember those things! I have such an amazing, loving, accepting family that I am so glad to have close to me to celebrate!!!! I love you all!

Just some random stuff

Need I say anymore about this picture? Kennedy is such a clean eater.Logan is still going to gymnastic and absolutely loving it! The Tuesday before Thanksgiving we had a big snow storm and between that and it being the holiday week there were not a of kids there that week. Her teacher let them play around on these bungie cord thingies! She had her practice some of her back hand springs and then she grabbed her legs and flug her back as far as she could! She went flying!!!! She thought it was the best thing ever!!!!!!

Sister G Robison

Our amazing sister and aunt G left to go to the MTC in Provo a few weeks ago before she leaves to the Ecuador South mission! We just found out too that she is leaving next week from the Provo MTC to go to the Peru MTC. We are all so proud of her and know that she will do an amazing job! We will sure miss her though!

Me and the girls got to go over that morning she left to say one last good bye! The little girls didn't really understand what was going on and Logan put on a good face until she actually pulled out of the driveway and then the water works began. She was so sad and so upset that she was gone and that she wouldn't be back for so long. She loves her Aunt "G" so much and so do we! We love and miss her so much!

Making cookies

We decided to make sugar cookies with the girls one night around Thanksgiving and since we didn't have any turkey cookie cutters or anything, we let the girls each choose one. We ended up with pink butterflies, Christmas Trees, and snowmen. The girls had so much fun helping me mix it up and then frosting them!

Halloween

We had a fun Halloween this year with all three of the girls old enough to enjoy all the excitement! We carved pumpkins, as always, at my parent's house on Thursday night! Logan was not really into getting all the guts out of the pumpkin but loved the carving part. She picked one of the tracing ones we had and picked a really hard one.

Kennedy loved helping with all the pumpkin guts. She didn't actually get much out but she kept scooping and scooping. We were just glad she didn't fall in since her pumpkin was about as big as she was.
Karsyn really didn't like the guts but with Grandma Lindee's help, she got a little bit out!

On Friday afternoon Logan's Elementary school did a costume parade and then a 5K run/walk and then dinner. We didn't stay for the dinner but the girls had fun walking the halls of the school for the parade.
Logan is so lucky to have moved in right next door to a girl her age and now they are in the same class at school and are such good little buddies. She is the one with the really "small" wings! haha

It was a long walk with 5 kids under 5. They all got in and out of the stroller and wagon a million times. We ended up in the very very back, dead last, and only went as far as our houses, then went home!
On Halloween day we went down the street in our neighborhood and did a "seat or treat". Instead of a Trunk or Treat, we set up chairs and the kids walked up and down the street and got candy! It turned out pretty good and the girls got lots and lots of candy. I also got to meet a few people from the neighborhood too, which is good cuz we still don't know a ton!

Then we have our little monkeys, that wouldn't take a picture for anything, they had so much fun! They were pretty shy asking for candy but got the hang of it after all the times we went!
In good old Utah, you never know what the weather is going to be like in October and this year was no different. It was pretty ugly for most of the night, off and on raining, but when the clouds broke for a little bit, we took the girls and went around to a few of the neighbors houses' to actually (real) Trick or Treat!

Daddy held Karsyn most of the time, while I held Kennedy. They were too slow and we would have went to 5 houses in an hour if they walked!
I think the little girls favorite part was all the people's decorated houses. We had some fun ones in the neighborhood and the girls thought they were great!

Once we were done, we were DONE....the girls got so much candy over the last few days with all the different things we went to! This huge bucket full is just what the twins got, Logan keeps hers in her room! We had such a fun holiday and I just love seeing how excited all the girls get and how much fun they have! They even got to sleep over at G and G Robison's house after Trick or Treating while Kurt and I went to hang out with some friends! Happy Halloween!!!
