Finally back...didn't miss much

So we have been a little MIA in the blog world because we haven't had the internet for a little while but...we are back. Luckily January and February are not that exciting for us! We did manage to have a little fun. The girls really got in to Valentine's Day this year, they had their cards picked out and bought about 3 weeks early, then we found out Logan was going to be off track and wouldn't be having a Valentine's party at school...so lots of friends and family got Valentine's this year!
We had our family "red dinner" at our house this year having meatloaf, red potatoes, red jello jigglers, red punch and a few other random red things! We laugh every year when we do this saying that it isn't the "best" meal as far as taste cuz we have to stretch it to make red things but this year it was really good! I love fun family traditions!

I had to throw this picture in of the girls in the tub. I went and answered the door (don't judge me) and when I came back the girls had turned the water back on and let it keep running and running and there was LOTS and LOTS of water on the floor and both girls were pretty much floating on the top. haha. Before you think I am as horrible as my own Mother did, just so you know, I could hear both the girls laughing and laughing the whole time and knew they were safe. I also knew that my bathroom wasn't safe but did not really care. Thanks.
My cute girls and their not-so-cute binkies that they still have to have to go to bed. We keep prepping them for when they turn 3 and we WILL throw those dang things away...hopefully!
We decided to take the girls bowling one weekend and invited Clay and Hailey and the kids to come too! They kids loved it!
It ended up being a really really long game because we all played, including the little ones, and they had to bowl all their own balls, no help! Besides lifting the ball and putting it down the ramp!

Logan would use the pads but not the ramp! She did really good! The kids thought it was great when the lights went off and the night lights came on making everything glow in the dark! I am pretty sure they thought that was the best part.
We also headed down to Kangaroo Zoo one day with the kids and, again, Hailey and the kids and Grandma Lindee!
It is always funny to see which of the twins is going to be "scared" of things on any certain day. This day Kennedy was not wanting to go down any of the slides cuz she was "scared" but Karsyn went up and down a million times!
As you can see though, Kennedy went down a few times and decided she wasn't "scared" anymore! I say it like that because if any of you have heard her say 'I scared' it is pretty funny!

Face first
I used to try and attempt to shower and let the kids "watch" themselves until I ended up cleaning up way too many messes, now the girls just get in the tub next to me and play while I shower and get ready! They love it, I love it, everyone else loves it cuz I can actually shower and not look like a bum or be grumpy from having to pick up the pieces of what damage the girls can make in a matter of 10 minutes. :) Once in a while we even throw in some bubbles!
They think the bubbles are the greatest things in the world! I love watching them! Pure happiness!


Except when they get on their face, not so happy! Luckily they just stick their faces under the faucet and clean themselves off.
Ah to be a kid again, so much joy out of such little things! I love those girls!!!

The dreaded day has come...

Because of the really "successful" times we had with Logan and potty training, to say I was dreading it with the twins was a complete understatement! I said that I wasn't even going to try until they were pretty much doing it themselves haha! Karsyn started telling me that she had to go "potty" and she would sit on the toilet and poop. I decided either I had to start duct taping their diapers back on or just buck up and potty train.
So we are now over a week into it and I am pleasantly surprised how well the girls are doing. I said at the beginning that I wished I could just work on Karsyn first, since I knew she was ready, and then start on Kennedy a little later. She must have heard me say that and decided to prove me completely wrong. Kennedy is actually doing much better than Karsyn so far. The first day I was a little worried that she didn't understand because she would pretty much just live on the toilet, never really peeing, unless she got off the toilet...funny how that works. Then once she got over the newness of it and just sat down when I told her to, she started peeing and pooping both. She has had a few accidents but overall has done really really good! That girl never ceases to amaze me, and prove me wrong in what she can do! Karsyn is also doing pretty good but has had a few more accidents. I debated at first if they were actually ready or if I should diaper them back up for a while but they have been doing better and better actually even staying dry at night and in their naps most of the time! I guess we will stick with it and see how it goes since they have to be ready for preschool in the fall...ya we won't even go there yet, I can't believe they are old enough to be talking about SCHOOL!!!!!

More stuff to get us through winter!

It seems like we haven't really gotten much snow this year, but at least when we do, it gives us a lot so the kids can go out and play in it until it melts! Logan loves the snow, she is a cold person, like her Dad. She tells me often how she loves to be cold and hates to be hot. Silly girl.

Logan really wanted to make a snowman so here was a wonderful attempt! The kids loved that we used Dad's oreos for his eyes and a "potty treat" for her mouth.

I think we used pretty much all the snow in the yard right down to the grass but we did it! Karysn and Kennedy are more like their Mommy, they don't love the snow or the cold. They absolutely hate walking in the snow for some reason. They sat in these chairs until I came over and carried them over to to where the snowman was.
Just had to throw this picture in of Logan. She started taking dance a few weeks ago and loves to dress up in "dance stuff" and dance around. Her cousin Karlee gave her this tank top and she can't wait to wear it to her dance class. Notice she has on my boots..haha I love kids!
We went to Surf n' Swim last week with Hailey and the kiddos. It was great because there was practically nobody there so the kids could just run around and play and splash and we could always see where they were!
Of course one kid always walks away before I can snap the picture.
Kennedy was hilarious with this squirt gun. She would have me fill it up for her and then the only way she could really get it to work was to point it at herself...right in the face! She thought it was great!

The lifeguard gave all the kids a tube to play in, they thought it was pretty cool!
I can't believe how big Logan is getting, it makes me sad but I also love having such a "big girl" around the house to hang out with!
We also headed to the Treehouse Museum with Hailey and the kids and Grandma Lindee. Thanks Grandma for footing the bill for all the kids to get in...that place is overpriced if you ask me. But the kids love it to death and it keeps them all busy for a few hours!

January and February are pretty boring and we are all just ready for it to be spring but we are lucky to have friends and cousins (and Grandma) to keep us somewhat entertained! Especially this last couple weeks while Logan has been off track!
