Our day started much earlier yesterday because Kurt and I had to take Karsyn and Kennedy down to Primary's to get tubes put in both their ears. As most of you know, they have had fluid in their ears that just didn't want to go away so their doctor said this was the best way to get it out. Here is a picture of them in their cute little "surgery outfits"!!! We had to be there at 6:45 AM, so we had to leave an hour before that. We checked in and waited in the wating room with all the other same day surgery patients and their parents. For all of you who have been to Primary Childrens with your kids, you know that it can be kinda sad and depressing. All the cute little kids who have been delt such horrible trials. Lucky for us, this time we were grateful that we could say that our reason for being at the hospital was "minor", especially compared to most others there.

Karsyn was so somber the whole time, I don't know if it was because it was early, or if she knew what was coming to her. She just sat on my lap most of the time we waited. The girls couldn't eat or drink after midnight the night before and so I am sure they were hungry but enough was going on around them, they didn't seem to mind.

We got them both dressed in their little outfits and then a Pediatrician came in and checked them out, and got their history...which could be made into a small book I think!

We were cleared and ready for surgery!!! Kennedy decided she would go first and be the big sister this time...since we usually make Karsyn do things first because she IS the big sister. (This picture is Karsyn by the way)!

The doc came out, after only about 15 minutes and said Kennedy did great and was in recovery...throwing a fit! Once again, the nurses and doctors agreed that Kennedy is fiesty...that is what has gotten her this far though!!! This picture was taken actually after about a half hour, even after Karsyn was done and awake. She was still really sleepy from the sedation and wore herself out crying when she first came out. That was probably the worst part of all, watching them come out of sedation because they were really aggitated and thrashing everywhere! So sad!

This is Karsyn right before we left to go home, she was dressed and fed and ready to take another nap on the way home!!! Both girls ended up having an infection in their right ears, and more fluid than they originally thought but did great! We are giving them antibiotic drops in both ears and hopefully that will take care of the problem. I just think that it is so funny that the girls do everything the same...both have fluid at the same time, both have infections in the same ear, and both have the left ear canal smaller than their right...must be twins!!!

On a happier note...we went to the Ogden Nature Center on Saturday. None of us had ever been there and wanted to check it out, since it was free on Saturdays (if anyone is interested)! Here is Kurt and Logan walking ahead down the trail!

The girls once again just stayed in their stroller the whole time and watched and listened to everything going on!

This is Karsyn's little arm poking out of the stroller and I thought it was so cute because she tried to grab the stuff on the sides the whole time...I wish we could have carried them and let them see more but it is just too hard to do with 2 one year olds and a 4 year old who runs everywhere!

Kurt and Logan

Me and Logan with all the pretty little purple flowers that were everywhere...it really was cool to think that we were out in nature but we were just in the middle of Ogden!!!

Logan really wanted to climb this tree...until she got an inch up and then she freaked out and made Kurt help her up and this was as far as she would go!

Kurt and Logan taking a picture with the Bald Eagle...he was soooooo cool! They also had many other birds and owls that were really neat to see!

Me and Logan with the turkeys in the background. Call me crazy but those wild turkeys running around were a little scary to me!

I don't know if I have ever been there either... look slike fun! Logan's hair is getting so long!! she looks so big and grown up!! And, the babies are so freaking cute in their surgery clothes.. I just want to sqeeze them both!!
I know they just got tubes in their ears, but for some reason that makes me just want to cry. I hate when little babies have to do things and they have no idea what is going on. They definitely have a good little mama! They are so cute!
Good thing those little girls are so tough! Glad everything went well. They look so cute in their "surgery outfits!"
