Summer Time and the Livin's EASY...

Before I get to all the fun in the sun pictures, I had to post this cute one of Kennedy! She thinks it is so funny to get herself into this Lego tub, or anything like it and just hang out there. I guess she has figured out she is small! So cute!
We have spent a lot of time in the sun and water already this summer, despite half of the days being cold. Here we are letting the girls play on the slip and slide that Logan got from her friends for her birthday (thanks Beau and Bronson and Bria)!
Even though the water was pretty cold, the girls still liked sitting on the slide and playing with the little spouts!
And of course, walking on the spouts too!
Karsyn just hangin out on the towel before she decided she wanted to get in the water.
Kennedy in the grass...she is not so scared of it anymore (Darn)!
Logan on the slide. She pretty much just ran up and down on it because it was too flat to slide on it!
Here is another day when we met some friends at the Splash Pad in Ogden. Me and Kennedy!
Karsyn and Kennedy playing in the spouts that would go up and down!

Getting a tan, for a fraction of a second before they got back in the water!
And this was from this afternoon. We were invited to go play at Preslie and Harlee's grandma's house and play with all the fun toys and water!

So funny!

Our first Race!!!

So, Kurt kept joking with me that he signed us up for Pleasant View cities 5K, I just kept blowing him off because I hate, hate, hate to run! Finally when he said something one time, I said OK...let's do it then!!! I think he was a little surprised because neither of us have ran in forever, but I was willing to try since it was just 3.1 miles!!! Here we are at 6:00 AM after we got all registered and got our numbers and chips on!!! It was still pretty cold that early!
Don't we look like runners...not really! I am pretty sure Kurt didn't really even have running shoes on! Ready or not though...

I told Kurt to turn around and show me his number thingy and I think he more showed me his butt! It is cute though!
I had to turn around and do the same!
We were down by the starting line and saw Kurt's parents standing across the street...total surprise because they were supposed to be leaving that morning to Idaho with some family. Turns out the people they were going with were sick and they didn't go. They decided to come see us run, or maybe see if we would survive running!!! Thanks guys for coming, that was so fun having people to see us finish!!!
Here we are coming across the finish line...31 minutes and 12 seconds! I don't know what is good, especially for someone who hasn't trained at all but I was happy with that! I am trying to get Kurt to start training for another race...a marathon maybe... because I am pretty sure if he wanted to he could have finished about 10 minutes before me! Thanks babe for stickin by me!!!
Here we are all sweaty and stinky after we finished! I must say I am kinda proud of myself because I hate running so much, but I don't think that I am "addicted" like most people say you are once you have raced! We will see if that day ever comes, until then...hey now I can say I have ran one whole race!! My goal was to #1: Finish #2: Not to walk at all...I did both of those things and I am glad it is over..haha!

After the race Chuck and Laurie bought us breakfast, then we went back to my sister Gen who was watching the girls and relieved her! We got ready and headed to the parade and Logan got a bunch of candy and the girls liked watching everything going on! We also had a birthday party a few hours later, then came home and watched the fireworks from the deck!!! FUN and long day!

Logan's 4th Birthday pictures!!!

Here are a few of Logan's pictures that we had taken for her 4th birthday! We had Alicia Kinne... www.aliciakinnephotography.blogspot.com take them for us down at Union Station! Not only was it fun to take the pictures, but it was fun for Logan (and me) to see all the trains. We have never even taken Logan there and she thought it was so fun to get to be so close to the train and the train tracks. We did however, discover that she does not like heights. We have kinda seen her freek out at times, but she totally wigged out when we tried to put her on a few of the trains that were kinda high. Hopefully she will grow out of that, but she did such a great job! As you can see it was pretty sunny, so she had a hard time opening her eyes up all the way, and I found this out when she took a few pictures of me with Logan and I couldn't open my eyes either! Good Job Logan, we love you...our daughter, sister, granddaughter, neice, cousin, and friend!!!
