A few things before it starts to get COLD...

My Mom, Hailey, Kurt all the kids and I went to Wheeler Farm the other day for probably one of the last warm days of the year! I hadn't been there in years and had so much fun and so did the kids!

Check out these pigs. I don't think I have seen such big ugly pigs. The kids thought they were so funny!

The girls in their second home....their stroller! They enjoyed the animals just as much, or more, than anybody!

Logan and Kinlee sitting in the wagon after they played in the little tree house.

On our way out, we decided to stop at the horses again. The kids really liked them this time and they all wanted to feed them! At first, Logan would just kinda hold her hand up like this and not want to watch the horse take it! But then she really got the hang of it and had so much fun!

Kennedy was not so sure. I gave her some grass and let the horse eat it out of her hand and I think the horse almost took off her whole hand, for some reason she didn't like that!!! haha!

Here is Logan once she got the hang of it, and she just kept giving it more and more and more! We didn't figure you could give it too much because that is all I ever see horses doing...eating!

Karsyn, on the other hand, loved the horse. She wanted to keep giving it more too!

Notice how I kinda hold Karsyn away from me...I didn't know how close I cared to get to it either! Kennedy and I were buddies!

Saturday night we went to the Utah football game with our friends Christian and Amber and then Kurt's brother Scott and friend Jason. Kurt didn't get season tickets this year so we decided we should at least go to one game!

They boys that didn't want their picture taken! Notice the sea of red behind them. Louiville is red also, so everyone in the stadium had red on! One of the cool things about seeing a game live is seeing all the crazy things people wear and do for "their" team!

This was supposed to be a picture of the stadium, but it looks like Kurt wanted me in it too without my knowledge! We didn't have the best seats, but there really isn't a bad seat in the stadium so it was super fun!

Me and Amber! I am so glad that she wanted to go so that I wouldn't be the only girl! I always have fun with you Amber!

Christian and Amber! So cute!

Kurt acting like he wasn't totally excited to take a picture at his "Utah Utes" football game! Haha! We had so much fun and of course THANKS to my parents for watching the girls for us AGAIN!

Yes! This was all in one day!!!

Yesterday was a fun and busy day for us all...mostly Kurt though! We headed up on Friday night, just Logan, Kurt and I, to Logan and spent the night there for Kurt to run in the Top of Utah Marathon on Saturday morning! We got up there and went swimming for a little while after eating at the Olive Garden...carbs, carbs, carbs! Then we all went to bed, while Kurt had to wake up at 4:00AM to catch the shuttle that came to the hotel, Logan and I slept in until around 9:00AM and then headed down to the finish line!!! Here is Logan with the sign "she" made for her daddy!!!

They were supposed to send us a text when he passed the 13th mile and then again when he passed the 20th mile and when nothing ever was sent to my phone, I started to think the worst. Kurt had been a few weeks behind the training schedule when he decided to run the marathon and then about 6 weeks ago on one of his "long" runs, he hurt his knee, making is so he was unable to run much for the next 6 weeks up until the run. When I didn't get the texts, I just started to think that maybe he wasn't able to finish because of his knee, but we got ready and headed to the finish line to wait!
He also estimated that he would be done around 11:00AM if all went well, making it in around 4 hours. Again, when that 4 hour mark came and went, I started to worry that he wasn't able to do it. BUT NO...at 4 hours and 23 minutes, there he came, running towards the finish line. Unlike some of the other people I saw finishing, he looked GREAT! He looked like he had just got done running a mile or so, still looking like he was "hovering", as I say!!! Logan was being such a dork and wouldn't hold her sign up for him and wouldn't go out and finish with him, so we saw him here and then ran down to the actual finish line to find him in all the crowds of people!!
He said that the race was such a good experience and that he felt great up until about mile 20, when, of all things, his back started to tighten up so bad it was hard for him to catch his breath. He said from about mile 20 to 24 or so he had to run and walk off and on trying to stretch his back muscles out enough to keep going. Then for the last 2 miles or so, he just set his mind on the finish line, and ran the rest of the way!!! He still says he is disappointed that he didn't make it in 4 hours, but I still think he is 100% amazing with all he went through to get there!!! Great job Honey!
You can barely see him crossing at this point because I was dragging Logan behind me trying to take a picture over all these people! You can also see his time was 4 hours 23 minutes, but when it came in on the official clock it was 4 hours 22 minutes 38 seconds!!!
Me and Logan waiting waiting waiting for Kurt! She was being so shy and weird, but afterwards was really excited to see her daddy!
See, still smiling...what is wrong with this guy???
Here he is holding Logan, I am pretty sure my arms would not have held a 35 lb kid after that!
I am so dang proud of Kurt, if I haven't mentioned it before, he is such an amazing person and this is just one more thing on his list of accomplishments! After the drive home, he came home and laid down for about and hour or two because he had a migraine but then he was up and ready to head to the lake with all of our friends from our old neighborhood!!!
Here is Logan on the tube with her friends Peyton and Bailee!
They had so much fun and thought they were going so fast!
Logan and her little friend Peyton that she misses so much!
Now here she is with Peyton and her little bro Gavin...he was so brave! Oh and don't you love Logan's life jacket that looked more like a neck brace!
We didn't get any picture of me and Val with Kurt on the tube because there was only kids on the boat at that point. But I had to go back out to see the guys on the tube. Thanks girls for watching my kids at the beach so that I could go on another ride!!
Here is Kurt and the guys trying to hold on. I never got any really good pictures when they fell off because it just happens too fast, but believe me, they took some good falls going really fast!
Kurt just fell off
...and then the other two followed! EMPTY TUBE!!
They picked up Kurt first, who was across the lake, and he rode this way until they got to the other guys to pick them up! Crazy kid!

We had such a fun, busy day but that is just the way we love it! I can't believe that Kurt was able to hold onto the tube for longer than a second, time and time again, after running the marathon, and then still going out to wake board too! I married a crazy crazy man and I love him for it! To finish off the night, Kurt and I came home and put the girls to bed and went to the best place ever...El Matador! It is just as yummy at 10:00 at night!

Karsyn and Kennedy 18 months!!!

We took the girls to their 18 month check up today...our 3rd doctors appointment in the last 5 days. Today though, was just a routine check up! Karsyn weighed 17 lbs 5 oz and was 3o inches tall, which BTW put her at the 10% on the charts!!! Kennedy weighed 13 lbs 4 oz and was 27 1/2 inches short, I mean tall! She is no where near the charts! Despite what the scales say, the girls are growing so big and strong and I am so proud of them!!
Karsyn is starting to do this huge grin and say "cheese" when I get the camera out, Kennedy still just looks at me like I am stupid!
Logan wanted in on all the picture taking too! Here is Logan and little sis Karsyn!
Kennedy on the run from me laughing...too bad this was as good as I could get because she looked really cute! We saw today that Kennedy is finally getting her front 2 teeth so she won't look like a vampire for much longer. She is also getting 2 of her molars. She continues to amaze me with all the things that she can do...climbing on tables, taking minor beatings from her big sisters (usually laughing the whole time), being treated like a doll, and it is so crazy to me how much they start to understand at this age! Kennedy is such a little baby in a lot of ways, I think because everyone has always babied her so she knows what she can get out of people. (sorry everyone that wasn't aware that she was taking advantage of you). But she is also such a little dare devil, she is always standing up on things and putting her hands in the air, thinking she is pretty cool! I love you Ken!
Karsyn also amazes me everyday. She is obsessed with shoes right now, of any kind. Usually at any point in the day, she will have a pair on. Usually at the same time she is carrying around a purse too! She is starting to do a lot of rambling (aka talking) and it is so funny to see her telling Kennedy what she wants because she seems to understand. She can say a few though like "shoes", "cheese", "juice", she tries to say "Logan", and a few others too! Karsyn is going to be our little soccer player because she loves kicking balls and pretty much anything else in her way, she will kick too! She is very coordinated doing it too!!! She is so sweet to her little sister, most the time, always giving her things and looking out for her! We love you Karsyn girl!

I can hardly believe it has been 18 months since they were born, and almost that long since we have had them home with us. We have had some major changes in our lives since they have joined our family, some good and some not so good! And while some days it feels like they are going to be the death of me, running around like crazy, whining, crying, all the normal stuff X2, I don't know what I would do without them! I love them so much and am so proud of all the crap they have conquered already in their short lives!!!

...Logan's new do...

We finally convinced Logan to cut her super long hair off!!! This girl has such thin hair, I really wanted to see if I could get it to look thicker by having her have short hair! One day (like many others) she was complaining when I combed her hair out. I decided to take advantage and tell her that if she cut it off, we wouldn't have to comb it anymore and she wouldn't get all the tangles! She agreed...I couldn't believe it because I had been trying forever and all she would say was "NO" because she wanted long princess hair, and long hair like her cousin Elliott, and other reasons that she "had to have long hair"!!! So here she is right before all her hair was cut off...8 freaking inches!!!
I need to post some better pictures because this is just one that we took at the salon right after it was done! She absolutely loves it and so do I! I am kinda sad, I must admit, because there were so many fun things we could do with her long hair, but I just think it looks so cute on her!

IF THE SHOE FITS...

So....many of you know the little problem we have with our little Kennedy and finding her shoes. She still fits only in the newborn/non walking shoes, and so when we go outside that is a problem! Logan had her build-a-bear out today and Kennedy brought me one of the shoes, like both the girls do ALL DAY LONG, and wanted me to put it on! Well, they fit and they even have a heal with a rubber bottom to walk on! What kind of looks do you think I will get if I take her out in these and then go to the store and buy other ones!!! HAHA!

Our last BASH before school starts!

We headed up to Bear Lake this last weekend with some friends from Kurt's old work at Thyssen Krupp Elevator! Here is Logan playing in the classic Bear Lake mud!
Rob and his wife Valerie had a little boy a little younger than Logan and they just had so much fun together playing on the beach and in the water!
Logan and Luke playing in the water! It is so nice there because the water is shallow forever and so the kids thought it was cool that they could go out way far by themselves!

Building a "sand" castle... or mud castle!
Bryce and Judy were nice enough to take us out on the boat when we got there on Saturday for a few hours, and then again on Sunday! Here is Logan on the boat with Kurt! She thought it was the greatest thing. She went out on the tube but she didn't really like the water splashing her in the face, so she didn't care to go out again.
Kurt and I got to get out and do some wake boarding too! Kurt used to go all the time so it didn't take long for him to get right back at it!
I had to throw this picture in because it shows how awesome the water looked! It was so pretty and actually pretty warm...which is not what we are used to at Bear Lake!
Kurt showing off...

Logan loved jumping off the boat into the water and swimming while we had the boat stopped! She thought it was so cool and didn't mind that it was a little chilly!
Jumping to Kurt!
Hanging out in the water
OK, I totally suck at wakeboarding and it had been forever, but I had fun!
Once I got a feel for it again, I even made it outside the wake! I know, I am that good! Haha!
We had so much fun this summer going here and there, and am so thankful, as always, to our families for taking the girls for us on those times that it wasn't possible to take them with us. I hope that next year they will be more containable, and we can take them camping and boating and we won't have to burden our families with them as much! Thanks guys! Now, bring on the fall, right???!!!
