A not so fun day on the bike trail!

These first pictures are just of the girls, of course, because they are so dang cute! Sometimes they like to sit together for a minute, until one starts punching or eating the other one!!! I was trying to get a good picture of Kennedy smiling but we just can't seem to get one, believe me that it is cute!
Here is our little Logan doing what she loves...cleaning! She loves to use the little cleaning wipes to clean everything she can reach. Sometimes I suggest places like the walls and baseboards that don't get much attention. In this picture she is cleaning the big chunk she took out of the wall with the metal plant holder that you see in the corner saying that it was dirty..yea.

Everything hard seems to find its way to Kurt's head, isn't he still so cute anyway!!!
And now for my "special" husband Kurt. He got a new mountain bike for his birthday the other day and wanted to take it out for a stroll. He and our brother-in-law, Clay, decided to go for a ride in Bountiful. I am sure Kurt could tell the story better, but he said that he was just about down the trail when he must have hit something or pushed on his front breaks too hard and he flipped over the bike (bike still attached to his feet) and landed on his head and shoulder. Luckily he was wearing his helmet because there are some pretty good dings in it and it also has a crack in it. Once he untangled himself from the tree he ran into, he picked up his bike and rode to the bottom of the trail to wait for Clay; who by the way got a flat tire close to the beginning of the trail and had to walk his bike the rest of the way down. Once Clay got down they decided that they better take Kurt to the instacare to see if he broke his collar bone. The doctor did an X-Ray and said that she couldn't see any breaks but that he probably tore or bruised the tendons and ligaments and that he had to wear this brace thingy. She said that if that was all it was that he should start feeling better and be able to move a little more in about 72 hours. If he didn't feel better at all, it could be something else. She sent him home with 4 different medications and told him that he may need to do some physical therapy. Needless to say I think that he won't be doing a whole lot for the next while, including helping me with the babies, since even a 5 pound baby is hard to hold with one working arm. (yea for me)
This is what his back looks like, I still don't know what it looks like under all that bandage!(that must be what the antibiotics are for?!?!!!)

Logan Swimming Lessons and the girls doctor visits

Well Logan was in swimming lessons for the first time this last few weeks. She just took from a girl in my parents neighborhood and had a ton of fun. She and another girl were the only ones in the class (the little boy you see in the picture only came the first day), and the other girl was 5 and Logan could totally out swim her. She spends a lot of time in the water but has never had any formal lessons so it was different for her to have to sit and listen and practice as opposed to jumping off the diving board and playing around. The lesson was only 6 days and they were only a half hour long, but she seemed to learn a little bit!
Logan learning to kick her feet and do "ice cream scoops" with her arms to the wall!
The girls went to their doctor check up yesterday and...good news they both are doing great! Kennedy was 4lbs 9oz when we last went about 3 weeks ago and yesterday she weighed 5lb 9oz! Because she gained what the doctor thought was good, we hooked her up to the pulse ox monitor and ended up turning her oxygen down to 1/32 of a liter. For those who don't know, that is the lowest it can go without turning it totally off. He said that if she continues at this rate and looks like she will be OK, he will check her again in 2 weeks and possibly take her off the oxygen completely!!! We won't get our hopes up that this will be the case because we want to give her all the time she needs to be totally ready to come off, but it would be so nice for her and us!
As for our little gal Karsyn, she was 7lbs 1 oz last time and now weighs 7lbs 13 oz! Of course the doctor is happy about the way she is progressing and doesn't need to see her again until their 6 month check up in September! After that we will be starting the flu shots and RSV shots in hopes of keeping them as healthy as possible! Good Job girls!!!

A bunch of random pictures...really!

These first pictures are our three dolls doing what we love most...sleep! This is Kurt and my favorite time of the night, when all our gals are dead asleep and we can relax! We are slowly getting them to sleep a little bit earlier and earlier and it is so great. Don't they just look so cute!

And peaceful, and quiet!

Logan sleeps all over the place and if she didn't have a rail she would fall off her bed every night!
As you can see, the girls were really happy when we took this picture, but I wanted to show everyone these funny little dresses that a lady from Kurt's work gave us. I realized they hadn't worn them yet and Karsyn's was getting a little small! She also gave us onesies that say big sis and little sis!
Logan loves to take pictures with both her sisters but they never turn out very good because she can't hold them in a good position and then smile herself...way complicated, I know!
This picture is of Logan holding Karsyn in the new "Moby wrap" that I just got. We were just trying to figure it out and she thought it was pretty cool that she could hold her without having to hold her sister up. Like most things though, it didn't last long before she was trying to get her out and the wrap off.
Karsyn and Kennedy are really starting to smile a bunch, just a cute picture of Karsyn grinning at us!
Kurt feeding Kennedy who still drinks every other feeding with a bottle to give her some extra calories, and it give me a break from feeding them both together!
Kennedy smiles also but this obviously doesn't show that, she is harder to catch in the act!

Just a Day in the Life!!!

Well as you all know, we like to spend a lot of time in the summer and my grandma's house swimming! Logan has really gotten to be such a little fish, and a daring one at that! She absolutely loves to jump off the diving bored and go down the slide. The other day we were swimming and Kurt and Uncle Clay were there also and we were all doing "tricks" (or what others may call weird ways to jump off while twisting in some odd with the end result being some sort of pain)! Anyway Logan was so funny because she would jump off in between all of us, making her jump about 3 times as many times as the rest of us and she just kept going and going and going!

Kurt and Clay would jump with their scuba gear on because then they could see when they hit the water and then they could do a little sight seeing over to the stairs to get out and go again (right?!?). Since they did, of course, Logan had to follow!
Kurt said this picture sucked, but I thought it was cool because it showed that Logan actually goes under the water when she jumps and doesn't care...well maybe I was trying to get a picture of her jumping but our camera has too much of a delay, either one right!
Just chillin' with grandma Robison! This was also the first day that Karsyn joined us outside for a little while. Usually her and Kennedy stay inside my grandma's house asleep!

Karsyn and Kennedy's Blessing Day and the night at the Layton Park

Well the big day finally came...Karsyn and Kennedy were blessed by Kurt on Sunday August 3rd! The day ended up going so well, the girls looked so cute in their dresses that Grandma Lindsay made them. I was going to have one of the girls wear my blessing dress that all the other girls in the family have worn, and then I borrowed one from Jen (Preslie and Harlee's) that the other one would wear, but then at the last minute (the Tuesday night before) decided that I was going to take Laurie up on the offer to make the girls dresses. She was so great to come down that night and get started on them right away and they ended up better than I could have imagined. Thanks Laurie! Thanks to everyone who shared this special day with our family. There were so many family and friends that came to support the girls, including Kurt's grandparents that were in town from Colorado. We missed having my sister Lacey and her little family there with us but we look forward to seeing them soon!
Kurt and I are so happy to have the girls home and have appreciated all the love and support. I am so glad to have a husband that holds the priesthood, especially in times like this, Kurt gave so many blessings to the girls while they were in the womb, then in the hospital, and now that they are home. He did such an amazing job telling the girls to be strong and never to give up and making sure they know that they have a lot of family and friends that love them very much! Good Job Kurt!

Hey Karsyn, the day hasn't even started yet, don't be yawning already!!!
Logan had already gone to church with grandma and grandpa and so we didn't get the whole family picture but are the girls with mommy and daddy on their special day!
Kennedy zonked out when we got home so we weren't able to get any pictures of her by herself really. Just take my word for it that she looked so pretty all in white with her pink bow that aunt Hailey made them!

Karsyn stayed awake for a while after church for the "party" and then later on she zonked out too!

After everyone had gone home and everything was cleaned up at the house we all laid around for a while we decided to take Logan to the Layton park to feed the ducks and play on the playground. The ducks must have been fed all day long because none of them were too hungry but Kurt and Logan still threw some bread out there for them. After they got bored of that we took Logan and Makinlee to the playground to swing. My mom, Hailey and I sat on the bench with the girls while Kurt and Clay took the big girls to play on the swings and slides for a while. It was such a pretty night and was so nice and relaxing to just sit there and talk to my mom and sister while Logan and Makinlee were occupied! Karsyn and Kennedy just sat and enjoyed being outside for once, not too hot, not too cold!

Our Exciting Life!

Well I have been getting a lot of people asking me why I don't update my blog as much anymore. I promise, I am not a slacker really, I just don't have much of a variety in my life anymore to update you all on! Right now we pretty much hang out at home, with the occasional outing. You can also see that a lot of the pictures look the same because I can't really take any "action" shot of them because they don't do a whole lot right now. One thing that I did want to tell everyone is that we will be taking the girls to church for the first time, and probably the last for at least a year or so, so that we can bless them. Our church is at 11:00am at the church just down the street from our house if anyone would like to come! We would love to have you and then after we will have lunch at our house!

These pictures are of Kennedy without all her "getup" because she is taking a bath and I wanted to get her cannula changed and let her face breathe from the tendergrips and the heart monitor leads. Doesn't she look so dang cute, I just want to squeeze her to death. Hopefully soon we will see more of that...the oxygen off, not the squeezing to death!

I know these pictures aren't that great but I like to throw them in because it shows how much different in size they still are!

While we were taking pictures Karsyn got a little hungry, she decided to start eating Kennedy's head. The funny part was that Kennedy didn't seem to mind.

These little outfits are from Ross and Lea and their kids, they are darling, thanks guys!

We also have to throw in a picture with all three gals, Logan's cheesy smile included. I tell Logan not so smile crooked and to open her eyes a little because, as our family call it, she looks like the "chinaman"!
