Turning 3 is rough...

LAST NIGHT OF BEING 2...ROUGH LIFE ISN'T IT! Not sure why Kurt took one of Kennedy and not Karsyn, but just double the picture and that is what Karsyn would look like too! This is the night before their birthday!
So even though we had a long drive ahead of us to Las Vegas, we decided to make sure the girls still knew we wanted to celebrate their "real" birthday!!! For breakfast they wanted sausage...pretty much what they have every other day also! This time though, a candle to blow out also! Logan had to have one too!
And blowing it out...old pros at that now!
Well Kennedy was, Karsyn struggled to blow hers out each time! haha
We sent Logan to school that morning, got all packed up and as soon as Logan got home, we got on the road heading to VEGAS!!! Kurt had a work training thing that he had to go to so we decided it was a perfect time to tag along and have a little fun, and meet our new baby cousin...MADDEN!!! Yay!
It was all smiles on the way down. The girls did so good and we had hardly any fighting, everyone even stayed dry...no accidents! Wow, I was afraid of that part! As you can see, they both had their binkies. We have been prepping the girls for when they turn 3, NO MORE BINKIES. They still use them for naps and to sleep at night and really I don't care but it was probably time! Since we were "bringing our binkies to Vegas to give to baby Madden since we didn't need them anymore"...they wanted to use them one more time in the car. I really didn't care what they did as long as they didn't whine and cry, so I gave in!
Logan is always really easy in the car, she is so good at entertaining herself, this time she watched about 4 movies and we were there.
We made it, made great time, and again had very few problems with the kiddos! Kurt's training thing was in the Wynn on the strip, actually we stayed in the Encore, but it was absolutely amazing. We have never, nor will we ever probably again, stayed is such a nice place! We couldn't believe they would even dare let us in there with our three kids when we checked in. I am almost sure we were the only ones in the whole place that had kids with us, and the only ones wearing jeans. haha!
We stayed up really high and the view through the floor to ceiling glass windows was amazing! It actually made me a little sick, and nervous, but the girls loved it! Don't worry though, Kurt looked it up online and only one person has actually successfully broken through the glass and fallen to their death...eek!
There was a desk in the room, we know how Logan loves her desks! haha!
Too bad it is dark and with the flash you can't see what they are looking down at, but they just kept going back to the window to check everything out. It was fun at night too because of all the lights. They could see Circus Circus and the clown really close, they thought that was cool!

I didn't take my camera with me but when we got into Vegas, checked into our hotel, checked out the view, we headed out to get the girls something to eat for their birthday...it was still their bday remember! haha We ended up eating at Planet Hollywood in Caesars Palace, the girls weren't too impressed. They did like Caesars Palace however, they kept pointing out all the statues of "Jesus". Love kids! After dinner we met up with Lance and Lacey and the girls.....wahooooo! They decided since it was kinda late they would just come up to our room for a little bit! We finally got to meet sweet little Madden Elizabeth! The girls couldn't wait to get their hands on her...Kennedy first of course!

After the girls held her and Logan, Elliott and Rya checked out the room and said hi to each other, Logan got a turn to hold Madden too! She is such a good big sister and would just love to have another baby around! Good thing my sisters are going to have a million more babies for her to be able to do that! hahahaha!

Time for bed...no they did not get to sleep in the bed with us! This was a vacation for Kurt and I too! The girls didn't really want to anyway. They thought their beds were pretty cool!
The next morning we got ready and headed to meet up with Lance and Lace and the girls while Kurt was in meetings most the day. I was really nervous to get around without Kurt...I mean even getting to the car was giving me major anxiety let alone driving to Lance and Lace's house. Good thing my hubby takes good care of me and drew me a little map and then Lance gave me directions while I was in the car step by step and WE MADE IT! I was proud of myself. I thought people looked at me funny last night when Kurt an I trekked around with three kids, they really looked at me by MYSELF with three kids and a diaper bag and purse! haha!
We let the girls play at the house for a while and then headed out to watch Elliott play in her Tball game. I am so glad we were down there when she had a game! She is so fun to watch, she is one tough girl! Here she is running to home plate with her helmet falling off. Apparently she has the Robison pea head and none of the helmets fit her! Like Mother like daughter!!! Go ELLIOTT!!!!!
So the weather wasn't that great but we decided we were still going to find something fun to do! Henderson City was having a St Patty's Day Carnival so we decided as plan B, we would check it out! The girls thought this Hello Kitty truck was fun! Please, please ignore my kids outfits. I had them both in dresses that were short sleeves and it was too cold for that! I put some pants on them that were in the bag and sweat shirts. We were pretty WT but they were warm!
That night after we met back up with Kurt, we went out to dinner with everyone. We decided to go to the Hash House of go-go. They took my parents here when they came down and they told us all about it. It is a fun place with really really BIG food! Here is Kurt with his ribs...it kinda makes him look little!
Lance and Lacey shared this noodle dish with massive chicken breast!
Not really sure why Karsyn is giving me this look but...here is my "grilled cheese" even though it had avocado, tomato and bacon on it too! It was soooo yummy!

After dinner we headed over to Circus Circus, much different crowd there than the Wynn! haha! We let the girls all play a few games, each winning a very special prize, and watched a show!
The girls were pooped out after all the walking and playing! Karsyn was dead asleep and Kennedy was trying to wake her up...unsuccessful for quite a while!
After a good nights sleep we woke up and headed out on our own again, while Kurt was in meetings again, and went to church with Lance and Lace and the girls. Logan slept over at their house and so it was a little easier to just get me and the girls out of the room! Lance again had to give me step by step but we made it! We were only like 15 mins late, which for 9 o' clock church, 20 mins away was pretty good considering we don't ever make it to 9 o'clock church at our own house 2 mins away. After church we got lunch and let the girls play for a while, picked up Kurt and headed to see the Mermaid at the Bass Pro shop! We go there whenever we go to Vegas cuz the kids just think she is great! They were really loving all the other fish this time too!

The Mermaid! She is so fun, she gets a little air from her tank then swims around for a while saying hi to the kids and doing tricks! She is fun!

After dinner we braved the nasty wind and went walking on the strip! Thanks Lance for the only Family pic!
You can't go to Vegas and not go see all the beautiful flowers growing inside the Bellagio, I wish I could grow a garden like this! AMAZING and smells great!

We made it outside to the dancing fountains! They thought that was pretty cool, but Kennedy mostly liked finding different ways to ride on the stroller!



We headed on down to the MGM to see the lions but along the way stopped at the M&M factory. Not really sure why because there is nothing in there I ever want, and everything in there the kids DO want! We are proud to report that we made it out without getting anything!

We finally made it to the lions, walking on the strip with 4 adults and 6 kids under 6...not great but we made it! At some point on the strip walking Logan lost something....her first tooth! It had been loose the night before cuz she said it "hurt when she ate". I wiggled it, after much convincing that it wasn't going to kill her, but she wouldn't let me pull it out. So, she lost it on her own, somehow, on the strip while riding on Kurt's shoulders! Anyhoooooo, we got all the way to MGM and they had already taken the lions inside so we missed them. We went and saw the rubber alligator by the Rainforest Cafe!
We said our good byes to Lace Lance and the girls because we were going to be heading home in the morning :( I never feel like it is long enough when we see those guys :(. Hopefully we can try and go down again soon because the girls all had so much fun! Just a little shot of the girls make shift bed! I threw some couch cushions on the floor and a few blankets, the girls thought it was great!
Just for the record...operation get rid of binkies...not successful! Karsyn didn't use her and was totally fine with "giving hers to Madden" but Kennedy broke down like no other the first night. We decided that the walls even in the Wynn were probably not thick enough to keep from everyone hearing the fit about it, and we gave in and just gave them the binkies! We will have to work on that at home! This was Logan's cool bed right by the window! She was in the other part of the room by herself and it was the perfect size for her!
A few daylight pictures of the view! Kurt said the view from the other side of the building was much better and we got screwed but I still thought it was pretty cool! Nothing our dollar will probably be able to buy again so we enjoyed it!

The girls had such a great time and didn't want to go home yet! Just so you know, I wouldn't have wanted to leave either if I knew what was coming to us on the ride home. We decided to run to a few stores like H&M (whooop whoooop) before we got on the road and the girls were completely horrible the whole time. All they wanted was for me to hold them, BOTH, not fun! I had to hold them almost all weekend long and at this point my arms were going to fall off already. We ended up going to H&M and then getting back in the car, ready to kill our kids! haha. Kurt decided that we shouldn't go home with a bad taste in our mouth so we decided to take the girls back to MGM and try the lions again. They were there this time, but asleep. They thought they were pretty cool but all they really wanted to do was go see the alligator again, the rubber alligator mind you! Silly girls! After that we hit up the grocery store for some drinks, had a few screaming fits in the store, then hit the road to go home...determined never to take the girls on a trip ever again. The ride was never ending, they screamed off and on about nothing and everything the whole way home but we did make it and all they have to remember now is all the fun stuff they did! I doubt they remember at all how naughty they were....so I am sure we will be expected to take them somewhere sometime soon! We will see! Good times in Vegas!!!! THanks Lace and Lance for entertaining us and we miss you guys already!!!!!
